75 & 77Gr ammo

Has anyone tried putting any 75 and 77 Grain match ammo through their XCR's. I know these types of bullets normally require 1-8" or 1-7" twist. But my XCR has the 1-9" twist. If so, what kind of accuracy are you getting?

Re: 75 & 77Gr ammo

I did some testing to work out which rifle was better for competition.

My XCR has a 16" 1:9 tube. Out to 100 yards or so 77 and 75 grain tips shoot ok but I find the 69g SMK does better. Out to 400 the groups are a little wider than my 1:8 piston AR. Note the AR hasn't had a trigger job yet, but does have a free floating barrel, other than the gas piston assembly, so they are a reasonable comparison. I also used the same scope on each rifle. Once I get a trigger job on the AR I suspect it will surpass the XCR by a reasonable margin.

I could test my black hills 77gr match HP next time I head out to the range which will likely be Tuesday next week. I will post my results.
