A coworker brought in a wood carving,...... "Missing You" by Kevin Kelly

The carving is three pieces.
I was floored when I saw this. Kevin did not give a reason for this.
Out of 25 people I work with, all but two have served in the Armed Forces.
ALL were deeply moved and touched.

I just wanted to share Kevin's carving.

That is a pogniant image. It also sucks when you have to mark a grave that way for some of your own.

Yes, seeing this in person is very saddening.
However, the general public, as a whole,
is so disconnected from the sacrafices and struggles of
the Marine, Soldier, Airman and Sailor. I believe items of this nature
are a reminder of Their ultimate sacrifice, and so honor those whom have gone before us.

I should have said that I hate seeing them when i am over here in the desert. Forutanely haven't been to a memorial service this trip, YET. I hope to keep it that way.
