I have had a couple calls in the past few weeks regarding stock lengths. Our typical folding stocks are 13". Usually we have a custom 14" option. However, the problem some men are having is even the 13" is just too short for them. So, if you are one of those poor gargantuan guys, I recommend the Vltor Fixed Collapsible stock. It extends to 15", and looks pretty cool on.

I just put a SOCOM stock on mine and love it. Colapsed it is only slightly longer than the stock stock. lol. Extended it adds 2 inches which is much more comfortable for me at 6'-0. Looks a little more robust than the factory folder as well.

Any body have advice on what is the shortest collapsing stock to use the collapsing and folding adapter? I put an E-MOD on my XCR with a 4 position tube. Even after cutting 5/8" off the tube the LOP with the E-MOD all the way in is still longer than the regular folder the XCR comes with. I tried sliding the body of the CAA CBS stock on to the same tube and it is just as long. I also tried a CAV arms conventional collapsing stock on with no luck (neither the CAA and the CAV are mil-spec, just testing for length). I am tempted to just get the regular collapsing only adapter to see if how much shorter the LOP can be.

-BTW, the "stock" stock has the perfect LOP for general purpose use IMHO, but I would like to be able to get closer to the length of a collapsed M4 if need be.
