My old XCR is clean but my new XCR with the new Gas system has the
same shell ejection marks as your photo's. I also am getting a ton of brass kissing in the area
below that.

And Hoppes # 9 wont take the kisses off. ???

Looks more like wear from your bolt carrier sliding back and forth over the guide rails. If so, it is normal. My XCR and others I have seen have this wear.
bkeeper: that is indeed what it is. I found that there were a couple small 'divot' marks on the corresponding surface on the bolt carrier which seem to be causing the marking on the guide-rail.

Ok..

I own 2 XCR's and I'm going to say this again.. The Older gun is made better Fit and Finish.

My New XCR has the new gas system and I guess the new Bolt and Firing Pin.

I cleaned both of them today and the New gun has deep gauges just like QYV's and it's from the bolt
scraping along the inside of the Receiver rails.

It's wore down to bare metal and I have 400 rounds thru this gun. I noticed when I first got it it sounded terrible when I pulled back on the bolt and released it.

I guess I know where the screatching was coming from now... I'm pissed to be honest.

Does RA test fire all guns before delivery? Or just a few from each run?
If it sounded that bad just to pull back the bolt it should have never left the factory.

It's hard, it's a man made machine and man is not perfect.
I'm sure they will make it right. In the short time I've been coming
to the site I've been very impressed with support given by RA.

Glad to hear they are taking care of it. As long as it isn't a systemic problem you (or anyone else) shouldn't have any worries.
