I'm considering getting the ones like you have on your XCR from HKparts.net. Did you get the adjustment tool? $310 is a little steep for irons and $45 for the tool to adjust the rear drum adds insult to injury. ;)

Do I really need it or can I make some picks or small screwdrivers do the same job?

Thanks,
Sean

Oh, and I'm assuming you went with the 10" rear sight, not the 14.5/16" HK 416 rear sight due to your 12" bbl length.

I'm assuming the various apertures are for a BDC for 5.56. Any idea if these sights will even work for my 6.8 when the 1:11 twists become available? I'm guessing no, but any insight you can give is appreciated.

Thanks again,
Sean

I also have the HK sights. I wasted my money on that expensive little HK screw driver. I've found it is actually just as easy to use a small pair of forceps and a short screwdriver to make the adjustments. Here is a link to the instructions. http://www.hkpro.com/sights.htm

Thanks guys. As usual.....GREAT info. I'm trying to scrape together enough money to buy a second XCR (I like the first one so much) so every penny counts right now.

:)

Thanks again,

Well, tried to order today from HKparts.net.....he's out of stock on the front sight and has no idea when more will come in.

Anyone else have another source for the genuine HK sights? The Centurion C4 Diopters are AR height so they won't really help me over the Troys I already have.

Give this place a try. It says the 416 front and rear sight sets are in stock for 0. http://www.hkspecialist.net/product_display.php?Category=10

Edit: I think you will need to actually call to place the order because it seem the their online store is still under construction.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I remember Gordon from way back in the day but I couldn't remember the name of his company, only that he's the "HK guy".

Thanks for the link. I'll call him today. I really appreciate it. ;D
