The fast stocks are all interchangeable, 2,3 or brace, or the discontinued fast 1 or para tube stock can go on L or M
The oldest design FAST1 and the tube stock may need a piece of the mounting flange machined out in the middle to work with the Type 2 carrier/buffer arrangement IIRC.

The B&T looks like a very nice stock. Not sure I'm wild about no crossbolts though. The lucky Irishman anodizing piece almost looks purple, but maybe it's the lighting.

For giggles I held my Fast 3 stock up to my favorite AR stock, the MFT minimalist. It's incredible how fat the AR stock looks to the Fast 3, and this is a small AR stock! I stick to saying the Fast 3 needs to widen some that cheek piece.

Also random, but the 18 inch XCR is almost the same length as a 20 inch AR 308/6.5. I have here my 2A Arms 6.5 CM build. It weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces before the scope and mag. The Razor and mount add 27 ounces. That means the 2A build is lighter still with all that combined than the XCR. I know which one I'd grab at the end of days however, XCR all the way.

It looks like that in real life too, not just the photo. I think the lucky Irishman piece is blued, it doesn't look like anodizing. I had plans to contour it to the receiver a little better on a belt sander and spray paint it but, I don't really care enough to go to the effort. I'm not super wild about the no cross bolts as well but it seems very secure. Truthfully my point of concern as far as longevity is concerned is at the point of the Haga adapter to the mbt stock. The haga adapter is aluminum and the mbt is polymer, and well metal vs plastic, eventually the metal wins. Maybe not today, maybe not 10 years from now, but one day. It's lockup when closed is very secure, I just fear that folding and unfolding it too many times or too robustly may cause hinge failure. I've heard of that problem on the scar, but have never personally owned a scar. All this being said the mbt is growing on me the longer I have it.

Interesting on the blued vs anodizing for the end piece. The B&T is a nice looking setup, probably meant for more PCC and 556 recoil than 308, so hopefully it holds up well. I know the Fast 3 will probably never break. Robinson was right to laugh at the SCAR vs the XCR stocks. No comparison to the Ugg Boot! I've never owned a SCAR 17, but I did hold one. It felt like a toy with all the polymer. They still sell like hot cakes though.

White Light Product Black Rectangle

The notch in the middle of the adapter in the side view is what I was talking about in Post #21. The tube stocks didn't have this.....and I think the original FAST 1s didn't either.

Interesting I've got a fast 1 but it's installed on a type 1 gun. I didn't realize they had changed the stock internals.
Neither did I. IIRC, Nate (who's the real XCR guru) pointed it out. I searched but couldn't find the thread where it was discussed.

You are right about that. If the fast stocks had a wider cheek riser, they are ultimately superior. The lockup is as solid as the MCX folders.

This is also true with the acr stock and adapter.

That's a lot of adapters chained top each other. Great, now SOMEONE has to make an MBT stock adapter for the XCR.
The chained adapters is kinda a buzzkill for me. I can't believe I'm saying this but, if you do make one it should be from a polymer that that is similar to the stock material and maybe attach to the rifle with a nut set into the polymer, like how a lot of vertical foregrips attach. Something kinda like in the photo, on the other side is an Allen bolt.

Hell, I wish someone could hire me to make these designs my job. There are so many projects you could do with the XCR that need more time than just the weekends. A 3D printed adapter would be the closest design that I can come up with; a plastic injection machine that injects glass-reinforced nylon is specialized and expensive tooling to buy.

A cheek riser for the fast stocks that's thicker would be super cool.
