I went to the DPMS web site and bought one of those clamp on bayonet lugs they sell .at first i thought it would look silly ,but it was close enough to the gas block that it looked like it was just part of the gun and it works just fine .

I dont know how to post pics here . But i can say the clamp on lugs are VERY well made and after seeing it some of my friends ordered some also. Mostly for the Bush Master M4s ,even though they have a lug it is useless because of the 16In. barrel . It looks better on the XCR because it is only about a 1/2 in. from the gas block ,makeing it look like part of the gun ,not some add on.
