For those who use a magnified optic with a calibrated recticle on your XCR, have you considered what you are going to do in regards to caliber changes?

I'm not familiar with how much the ballistics of the future non-5.56 offerings will compare to popular 5.56 loads. I imagine 7.62x39 isn't a close match, but would 6.8 or 6.5 be close enough to 5.56 to make a 5.56 calibrated recticle be close enough to be useful out to 500 yards or so?

If not, are you just planning to switch optics?

Don't know about the calibers you asked about but .308 and .556/5.56mm are close enough to each other out to 250-300 yds that any difference would be swamped by aiming errors. I've swapped my ACOG back and forth between my XCR and FAL frequently although I haven't been shooting at long range yet (over 100 yds).
