I bet a lot of you have seen this... I'm curious if anyone has tried this? I may have to give it a go next time I'm at the range :)

while we fantasize about full auto xcr's, what do you think the difference between them and semis is? just differences in the trigger group?

I just wonder how long before the BATF comes along and rules this as a machine gun. :machinegun:

Same principle as the "tac triggers" that have been around for a while, and they are still legal as far as I know... I wouldn't hold my breath for them to outlaw rubber bands.

Looks like fun, but a waste of perfectly good ammo/money.

I have seen a memo where they descrided the use of shoe strings as consituting being a machine gun. While tac trigger are legal you can never be sure how they will rule on the use of a rubber band. They don't use logic when it come to our toys.

As of right now the feds have ruled this guys use of rubber bands as totally legal. I know him personally and have seen the actually fed letter they sent to him regarding this topic. He used to work at a gun shop/range, and shortly after the letter, the range banned bump firing. But they still allow full auto shooting. :)

Would this kind of use cause extra wear on the sear?

Just for the entertainment value, I tried this a couple weeks ago on my RRA Entry Tactical with the NM Trigger pack. It didn't work for me, but I think it has to do with the two stage trigger? Seems simple enough, but I couldn't make it work. I must be doing something wrong.

I did however, get together with Aussie on Saturday and we had some fun with Tannerite. I recommend Tannerite for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. We did the 1/2 pound charges, and I believe we're gonna go big (something in the 2LB+ range) with the next shoot.

I should note that when Roy and I set the first charge (at about 25 yards) that he looked at me and asked if we were too close.

I ponder for a minute and said "In about 30 seconds we'll either be saying THAT WAS SOME COOL SHIT - or - WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FURTHER AWAY"

I recommend 100 yards as per the Tannerite disclaimer.

Go on YouTube and watch for yourself. I say 25 yards was risky and although it wasn't bad - I wouldn't do it again (even though we did it three times)

Oh yeah... they can ship it via USPS to your door NO PROBLEM.

ENJOY!!!

Folks,

bump firing seems like a good technique to have in your arsenal, but wouldn't it cause premature wear on the sear? Don't select-fire weapons disengage the sear when firing full auto?

I live in the country and have my own "backyard" range. Back in September of last year I had some friends over to shoot. We were using tannerite.......... BOOM, BOOM....BOOM. The Sherrif shows up with a complaint that the explosions were shaking his windows!!! Lucky for us we were just wrapping things up. Sherrif wouldn't get out of his car and was polite as hell saying he couldn't stop us...... but could we town it down. Made me feel like a teenager at a rock concert. 8) ;D :2cents: And yes it WILL create a concussion. :copcar: :tiphat:

to answer your question, NO. it's exactly the same as pulling your trigger 30 times in semi auto.
