Current Lead Times

Hi there, I was just curious if anyone knew the current lead times with RA shipping out orders? I’ve heard numerous answers from numerous sources (including RA) and I’m hearing anywhere from 2.5+ months to 8 months. Just placed my order for the “L” variant around mid March and was just hoping to get it in my hands before the collapse of the financial banking system (insert sarcasm here).

Any info would be great, thanks.

I would expect shorter lead times going forward. It might take them a little while to catch up, but I've been hearing good things about bringing more things in-house

I'm highly skeptical based on past performance. I'd say your best bet is to steel your resolve that it will be 8 months....if you get it sooner, you'll be all the happier. And that is essentially what RA repeatedly gets wrong: They fail to properly manage customer expectations and have apparently never heard of the motto, "Under promise, over deliver".

RA has 95% been well behind promised delivery times since my first experience in 2009. I have had a couple of surprises but if I had to bet, I'd go closer to 8.

I've had an XCR-M shipped after 7 months (one of them after paying and waiting for them to pack it up). I had a parts order totaling over $1K that was placed about the same time as the -M order and I just got word that it's about ready to ship. I have been waiting over a year for a Mini upper for the -L that I ordered last March, and I'm still waiting for am Mlok Competition upper for the -L that I ordered last August. It seems to me that RA prioritizes shipping rifles than parts.

Ordered my XCR-L in September 2022, was told "3-4 months". In December 2022 I was told "we will ship all rifles on the books by the end of the year". In January 2022 I was told "a few more weeks". That repeated until this past week where my XCR was ready to ship. Finally received tracking today but it does not appear it was actually shipped, as it just shows label created.

Same with me, unlike RA, FedEx won't bullshit you and you'll get yours within a week. Looks like you waited 7 months too, assuming your ordered early September.

A strange dude that can only see in shades of infrared told me his M order took 3 months.

Maybe the in house barrel production thing is helping turn things around? I'd guess once they finally get batched out from the old barrel source, lead times should average down...

That's fantastic news! I didn't know they'd gone in house with bbls. That should help markedly.....and with the brace ban coming...I'd bet 16"+ bbls will be in high demand.
I was quoted about 2+ months for a barrel at the beginning of this month.
Will do. They were accurate about my stock and when I reported it people thought I was Alex. 🤣🤣

I’ve got my fingers crossed for the same. My EForm 1 was around 40ish days like they said. Can lightning strike 3 times in a row?
Mine was placed on May 24th. They sent me info on the rifle with custom color and whatnot. They did mention this in the email "Everything is made to order, lead times vary. Right now, we are 2+ months out once an order is placed."

I'm about ready to test this new lead time thing personally, as I need to order a bbl for a friend to keep him legal with the brace bullshit.

Thanks, guys. I'm super excited. I thought I had to wait 8-9 months like my other rifle.

I got mine (XCR-M mini in 308, OD Green Mlok) in about 3 months as well, however it was because they had a stainless heavy barrel become available instead of the regular heavy barrel I ordered and offered it to speed up the order. I gladly took it, and it’s awesome.

You probably know this already, but no matter what the wait is, it’s worth it. These things are PHENOMENAL. I have really high standards and I’m not in the least disappointed. My M is gorgeous.
