I have created a gen4 Glock23X!!!馃槏 pictures are on my ig #taytac84

Basically I used a 22 barrel in a 23 slide and made the proper adjustments to make the function 100% tuned and flawless.

For non Glock guys what does this mean?
He made a .40 cal Glock with a 4" bbl and a full size, 15 round grip...instead of the normal 13 round/4" bbl combo of a Glock 23.

Actually, it uses the 5" glock 22 barrel, if you use a fullsize frame you have to use the full size barrel. The benefits is bigger, longer and stronger 17/22 locking block. I'm using a s3f 40-9 g22 barrel. 40-9 gives you a thicker barrel wall.

I also have a video posted on my ig and an ongoing forum on glocktalk. A simple Google search for "glock23x" will bring everything up.

This far I have done everything myself, the milling will be by jagerwerks and the barrel will be threaded by grumpys guns.

It means the 19X is over rated because you can make one out of any gen 4.

If it doesn't have the shorter bbl, it's just a 23 slide with a 22 bbl....not really a 23X.

The new G45 is something I'm looking at....at least it has front serrations, but frankly, I think the Gen 4s are better than the 5s anyway.

I find Glock's naming conventions confusing as hell. Oh well. I've got my Gen 4 23 and Gen 3 21SF. That's enough of a starting point to create all the caliber configures I'd ever care to have in my inventory and then some.

Shoots very smooth, I have 500 down the pipe as of now. Still has some work left, like slide milling and I'm going to get the barrel threaded.
Like that Kagwerks slide release. That's first on my list for my new 19.

I'm going to have the stock length .40cal barrel threaded as well as the s3f stock length 40-9 barrel threaded. Maybe I may get another s3f 40-9 22 barrel and have it cut down. I'm going to get the slide milled by jagerwerks in the "yeti" design. And yes gen5 is seriously just another money grab to make up for the military contract loss. Glock is a one trick pony. They need to come out with fde .40 mags though. I heard through the grape vine they will...Its not like they haven't in the past...

Definitely worth the $$!!!! I bought 2, one is on my 40-9 G23 and the other on this X build. I'm very happy with them...I've spent way to much money on slide releases!

For sure! The nice thing about 40 and 45 is if you do conversions than you get a thicker barrel. Especially with a 45 to .40 conversion. 40-9 you only get like a little over a mill, but that's still something!

Yah. One of these days I'd like to get a G20 complete upper. Have the itch to pick up a G26 right now, but on the fence.

I definitely miss my G21. Probably going to get a gen4 one day. 10mm is very good though! Getting a g20 or g21 is still something I'm still thinking about. I'd love to make a compact 21. I hope one day they will fill in the blank spot on the glock model chart.

The finished product has arrived!!!!!
This has been an awesome 2 year project in the works and I'm glad could bring it tolight for the past 4 months of its final steps. MCM firearms did an outstanding job withthe cerakote, and Grumpy's guns did anabsolutely beautiful job threading the stock length S3F G22 9mm conversion glock barrel.
I hope that other will enjoy my posts and see what is possible. Thank you everyone for all your support throughout this truly custombuild.

These are zev .300 sights, they are veryminimalist as far as presentation throughthe rmr06. But they are usable. My main focus is the red dot(which is why I had thermr before the rear sight) and that it is clear of distraction. Zev .300 sights may not be the go to choose for most, but it works for me. (I am not running a sealing plate)
