Extended AR mag releases compatible?

I'm not familiar with all extended mag releases, but I'm familiar enough with the XCR mag release to know the button is at least similar enough to a regular AR-15 mag release button that I mix them up with no problems.



I personally use the Magpul enhanced AR magazine release on my -L. I thought the original button was fine but the Magpul one feels very nice, doesn't get in the way of the trigger, and matches the length of the ambi release on the other side. I like this style so much, I bought a second one for my -M, I have no reason to believe that won't work.

Here is how the extension looks like on my -M. I had to loosen the mag release a bit more, but that mag release button feels very nice, it feels very sturdy and out of the way.
