Well the tempature was approx 98 degrees, not one could in the sky, and I just could not resist the temptation.

I loaded up 100 rounds of Remington .223 puchased at walmart ($ 6.43 per box) in my brand new magpul P mags. I put on my magpul rail covers (thanks tzoid!) and threw it into the my range rifle bad. Just a side note, if you are looking for a rifle bag for the XCR I recommend the molle bag from cheaper then dirt. For about $43 bucks you get a really good bag. Someone on SIGFORUM recommended it to me and I could not be happier.

I hit the range. I realize that 100 rounds is barely breaking the ice but its all I can do for today. Sighting in my EOTECH at 50 yards was nothing but pure joy. Shooting in sequences of three I could keep all rounds within a quarter size. On one magazine the bolt would not lock back after the last round, not a huge concern but I kept notes for everyone and want to be detailed.

Ok so the problems.

out of 100 rounds I had FOUR failures. The failuers happen in this order.

1. Stove pipe

2. Stove pipe

3. Double feed

4. Stove pipe

All of these where quickly cleared. I 100 percent atribute this to the break in period and do not expect more problems after I get past 300 total rounds.

Sorry no pics this time. Once I get my BUIS and MIAD grip on I will post pics!
