Firing pin too long?

Couldn't find a problem section for the M, so I'll put this here. If this needs to be moved to another section , I understand. Just got my XCR-M the other day and love it so far. However, I don't want to take it to the range quite yet because of what seems to me, to be a firing pin that's a. It too long. Here's the bolt when it's just pushed down fully into the carrier:

The firing pin pushes out past the bolt face, quite a bit to be honest, and pressing on the firing pin with my thumb makes it seem so much worse that I hope it is. It looks like each shot it would puncture every single primer being that long:

I wanted to test and see if I was getting any marks on the primer with just a simple primed case and it did, albeit not as much as I was expecting, fortunately:

My question is, is this normal for the XCR platform? Or is this something much more serious that might cause a runaway gun if left unchanged? I've already emailed Robinson about this but haven't heard back.

First photo looks pretty normal....but the 2nd seems long to me. I don't have easy access to my M to confirm though. Maybe someone else will be along shortly. Might be able to check tonight depending on what happens after dinner.

On both examples that I've got on hand, that appears to be normal.

The bolt doesn't go all the way back in the carrier when it's installed in the gun. I've got wear patterns on both of my bolts that stop well before the bolt is fully seated. If you pull your upper and put the bolt/carrier into battery, you can see the bolt doesn't bottom out.

There's not much aftermarket.

One of the forum members made a run of ACR adapters. They're on GB for less than what they were offered initially. I've got 2 and really like the ACR stock on the M. I can get ACR stocks of you're interested. They were $145 shipped but I haven't talked with Remington this year so not sure if the cost went up.

I'm not aware of any charging handles being done for the M. There were some handles and knobs done for the Ls but you'll have to find a used one.

I've got RA fixed adapters and may have a folding one around. I can order for you from RA but it won't be quick. I've got parts I'm still waiting on from mid December.

Keep an eye on the forum and GB for stocks.
