I love my fs2000. I've put about 1000 rounds through mine this summer and I didn't have any issues. Don't worry about the stock it's pretty tough. Mine took about a three foot fall on to pavement and only had a few light scratches. My biggest issues with the design is that you can use pmags or any other polymer mags because of the magwell design. Also some people don't like that it doesn't hold the bolt open after the last round. This doesn't bother me, i got use to it after a few hundred rounds.

The only other problem with the FS2000 is that there are almost no accessories available right now. The five-seven forum is a good place to find other info.

Hi,

Anyone have any experience with the FS2000? Are they worth the 00? How strong is the plastic stock?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Crashy
They are plenty durable, with the charging handle being the only real weak point. They are fun guns, very shootable too.

If there is a ban, it might the only gun that will stay intact unless it is banned by name. Since it lacks a bayo-lug, pistol grip or flash hider it will be tough to ban by feature

Love mine, when my wife isn't shooting it. It won;t take PMAGS unless yo uremove the rubber dust gator, but takes HKs and other steel/aluminum mags fine.

Nice to shoot and about 1.5" accurate. Easy to transition and the center of gravity is just aove the pistol grip so one handed shooting is a breeze. Mag changes are fast after a little practise. Thinking about getting another.

It's currently being imported which makes it an incredibly easy "target" to ban. Just add it to the list. The PS90 and the first run of the SCAR are in the same boat (unless you have learned differently, and if so, shoot me a PM or post up with details what is going on with it).

The current import ban would have to be adjusted to include the FS2000 because by law its meet the definition of a sporterized firearm and is lumped in with the likes of the SL8 and Saiga. That is why it can be imported while the SIG 55x cannot.

It would have to be banned by name, since it lacks 90% of so-called evil features. By lib-tard standards, nothing about it is a "assault rifle"

Thanks for the replies. I'll add the FS2000 to my list then. =)

Is there a more durable replacement charging handle?

As far as I know, no, but FN is supposed to do a great job with taking care of customers who have had an issue so I would say you're in good shape.

The new version of the "assault weapons ban" would most likely include any further import or manufacture of any detachable magazine capable rifle,if the jackasses get their way.

They could include some clause like all bullpup rifles will be banned as well. But knowing the Libtards they are too dumb to do such a thing ;D. Or they could be real pricks and go to the Guns Digest and ban by name all the scary looking ones like they did in 1991 here in Canada. Sons of bitches.

They can knock them out by choosing a minimum rifle length or a number of other ways if they chose to.

both of those babies yours itstock? if so, NICE!!!
Sure are! The PS90 has been in "semi-retirement" though. I haven't shot the thing in quite a long time, especially with the FS2000 being a similar style gun, and more fun to shoot.
My wife loves the PS90.. by far her favorite out of all I own. Thing that sucks is the 5.7x28 ammo is scarce and expensive is hell. I told her I'd buy her 2-3 mags worth which is damn near 75 bucks for 3 mag full.

My gf likes her AR15 better than any of the other guns that I have, but I like the FS2000 far more than the ps90. The ammo is pretty readily available around here, and is actually cheaper than any half decent 5.56 ammo.

I've been thinking about making my ps90 a little more fun by making it a SBR and adding suppressor. ;D I just hope I can get all of the paper work through before any changes happen.

A nice gun, a good shooter. I might consider given a ban how easy are parts to get. I collect and love shooting exotic firearms. If you have one break in can be a nightmare getting a replacement part for it. Example I had a part break on a HK PSP - it took over 6 mos to get the simple part that broke. The point being that something with a real parts pipeline may make more sense. as a collector i would say get one. But if your getting a goto weapon you might want to consider parts availability.

My 2 cents worth...

That's why a spare parts kit is always a great idea, especially on a "go to" weapon.Another often overlooked thing is can you fix it if it breaks? In other word,if the doo-doo hits that big windmaker, are you going to be able to find a gunsmith,o0r can you do most of the replacement stuff yourself? Thats one of the many reasons why I love the XCR,it's so dang simple to work on. That also gives rise to the "have at least two of everything" theory that I think Bravo has mentioned before. If one breaks you have an immediate solution vs "damn,I need to get this fixed a.s.a.p."
