Gr8: I wouldn't move your MRD any farther forward (unless it is getting hit with brass). You will find that the farther away it sits the longer it takes for your eyes to pick the dot up. Yours is in about the same spot mine is on my 6.8 SPC and it works perfectly for 3-gun competitions and varmint eradication.
Of course your results may vary,

ETA: Mine sits in almost the same place but on the other side as I am a lefty. Recognize your handywork?
Sweet, I grew up in Springdale.
I could send my gun in and then pick it up in person while visiting the folks. (I'm in NH now! )
I'm very close to Springdale. I can do you gun, but not the lower, just everything else.

Thanks for the heads up. I originally had to move it a little forward when I realized that it might not be designed to withstand brass attacks from the rear! Yep, I remember working on your upper and mags. In fact, pics of that very rifle were the inspiration for me putting a mrd on my xcr!
That rifle looks awesome! Gr8 work Santini!!! I assume your name is a Duvall reference... Good Movie!!! Nothing like a little pea soup to liven up a party!
