Has anyone here brought another into the XCR family?

I have a nephew by marriage that is smart as a whip. He is in US airforce intelligence and sits in a room with no windows with headphones on...that is all I'm going to say. ;)

Young guy, new husband and father. Was looking at getting himself a rifle after I let him see some choice pieces of my collection.

He was leaning toward an AR as that was the platform he trained with.

I sold him on the XCR! He loves it and got it with an M4 stock.

Yep....another convert! ;D

Anyone else?

Pshaw. I am the convert maester. I convert on planes that your puny mortal mind could never begin to comprehend. ;D

I got pulled over once and sold the cop on an XCR. hehe. Didn't get a ticket, either. ;)

Something tells me it was more than the XCR info that got you out of that ticket. Maybe a little batting of the eyelashes? 8)

Oh come now I'm sure she wouldn't resort to such tactics! (although her statement "convert on planes" had me going until I realized she meant "levels")!! ;D ;D ;D

Any folks here convince others to buy the XCR that DON'T carry a buisness card that says Robinsons Armament next to their name? ;D

No discredit intended to you Terra! (where is that darned bowing smiley?)
Ah, Chris. Career jealousy is an ugly trait. ;D lol
I have a buddy who has an M96; its a nice rifle. He sold it, and then regretted it so much that he bought the same rifle back from the guy he sold it to... at a higher price.

He commented a while back that he was looking at the XCR. He shot mine recently. He likes the design concept overall, but he's currently into his highpower shooting, and he disliked the trigger and the ubiquitous (for a .223) recoil.

I'm hoping the recoil is lessened substantially once I'm done with the break in and can turn the gas down. After that, and after the trigger gets broken in/replaced with the RA factory unit/Bill Springfield-ed, I will let him try it again. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets one one day. He's the guy who got me turned on to RA in the first place after I got a chance to look at his M96. I ended up with a VEPR though.

I always thought the XCR was a pussycat with recoil. Although the VEPR K (which is what I own) is as well...especially with a nice full drum!

I cut my teeth with .308 FN FAL so the recoil of the XCR is light to me.

I have heard of the legendary Bill Springfield...isn't he the trigger guru?
Yep, my best friend and his dad each have one. A few other guys have said they want one, especially when they saw the ease of caliber conversion.

What language does your nephew speak?
I was in the market to get an assault rifle. I wanted an AR15 because of the modularity of it, an AK because they are just aw some, and I also wanted an FAL and an FNC.
I was doing alto of research and stuff because I did not want to be disappointed with my first rife and I wanted the best of the best. Eventually I found the XCR just like a several months before they released it. Went to one of my brothers for advice, showed him ball the guns I was looking at, and he loved the XCR, for a mouse gun, he is much more of an FAL guy... but he loves the XCR and kept me on the straight and narrow path of the XCR clear up until its release, I almost bought an AR15 several times, I'm really really glad I did not.
So when his life and financial situation are more stable he wants to buy an XCR. Another of my brothers has shown mild interest in it but lives on the other side of the country so hasn't seen it in person, and on of my friends kind of likes it... but I have unfortunately not sold any one on it... looks bad at school bragging you have an assault rifle...

Arabic with all the sub dialects etc. Pashtun, Farsi...you name it. Reads it and writes it as well. Pretty good for a boy that grew up in TN. ;D

He discovered he had a knack for picking up foreign languages when his family moved to AZ right before he graduated HS.

21 years old. Air force Trained him in Cal.

Proud to know him!
yeah, my current unit has quite a few arabic linguist assigned. Same job probably, sitting in a room, listening to headphones.

I did try to sell our chaplain an XCR but he likes his ARs...
