Been following this 'trial' pretty closely....

Can't fathom why this dumbshit of a prosecutor brought charges other than public outcry. Well guess what? The public are largely despotic idiots and dolts. So far, this trial underscores that fact.

The democrats have to suppress the concept of being opposed to their democrat run riots, and crush any physical opposition to their paramilitary rioters. If they don't put people defending themselves against physical attacks by their rioters in prison, then someone might get the idea that the way to end the riots is the generous use of lethal force against the rioters.

It’s politics and distraction. Humans have been playing that game for millenia. In this case the left wanted to pander to the masses they allowed and even encouraged to riot. It also became an opportunity to prove that a person with a firearm might not have been defending themselves. Win that and you can argue that no one needs Firearms because of the risk of more people doing the same. Prove that the defender was the aggressor, prove he went somewhere he didn’t need to be etc….. Despite the fact he has freedom of movement guaranteed in the constitution. Unfortunately he became an unwitting pawn in a bigger game. The left will always attempt to bask their fears as moral superiority and try and shame anyone or any idea that is contrary to that. Hopefully this time they wil fall on their faces. Why take him to trial…..people have been executed with less compelling evidence!

There's your problem. Turn off the internet and turn on the TV. You will find that the trial is going differently. The propaganda on the TV has been unchanged. Not only is Rittenhouse a white supremist, the judge is too.

Perhaps he was charged so that there will be riots when he is acquitted?

Riots are always useful for TPTB, as a tool for creating new rules in the name of the 'crisis'.
I think you nailed it.
Watching this trial it looks like bad theatrics on the prosecutors part almost like he is making the case for the defense.
Seriously what else makes sense is this his first prosecution?
Anyone who sees the video would have to say self defense, you can argue Kyle shouldn't of put himself in that situation but he absolutely has the right to defend himself.
I believe he will be found not guilty of murder.
So will the Feds then prosecute him?
I think they want the riots, the Dems don't have to take any heat for their pets (antifa/blm) causing them it will be "spontaneous outrage " and if the riots become deadly then comes the cry to disarm the citizens.

I wish James would realize he just isn't very smart and shut his mouth. He seems pretty racist in his comments if there is any crime involving white and black people he spouts off. He had to talk about Kyle saying it looked like he ate lemon heads but nothing on the race baiting Jessie Smollett.
Talks about racial inequality whenever he can ( mr privileged) but nothing about his Chinese masters and how they treat their own citizens and had to comment on Taiwan to appease them.

Even a douche bag has a right to an opinion. It's unfortunate that people put any stock in what an uninformed person has to say, but hero worship turns a blind eye to deficiencies of character. If it didn't, the NFL, MLB and NBA would have a lot less fans.

The same people who make that argument have no problem saying that it was ok for the rioters to be there. The logical extension of such an argument is that people who take weapons to defend themselves from potentially dangerous situations are to blame for the death or injury to the predators who prey upon them.

Exactly. The argument holds no water. As if your natural rights evaporate when you travel across state lines or b/c you're not part of the mob's tyranny of the majority.

What happened to the optic that was on the rifle?
Good question. It's not like it looked like a high end one that might have 'disappeared' while in the evidence locker. Surprised it was missing before the jury....I'm sure the prosecution would have loved telling the storyline that it was some death ray optic that allowed him extra lethality and made the gun even more designed for killing humans.

He was not arrested and taken into custody at the scene. They told him to go home, he did, then they decided they wanted to arrest him, and they put out a warrant for his arrest. He got a lawyer and negotiated a time and place to turn himself in.

The lawyer would have played the game of "They have a warrant or subpoena for the rifle. What does the warrant/subpoena say? Give them exactly and precisely what is on the warrant/subpoena and not anything more."

So, everything you see as prosecution evidence presented to the jury is a result of the lack of thoroughness and specificity of the prosecution in filling out the paperwork in the form of warrants or subpoenas.

Excellent point.

Hard to say with any jury, but I don't think this delay in a decision bodes well for a not-guilty verdict for Rittenhouse. I'm guessing at best he gets a hung jury. At worst, they collectively 'bought' the prosecution's argument that flagging a group of protestors while in defense of a property or position negates any claim to self defense.
