Hello all, I am new to the Robinson Armament. Just read about it a few weeks ago when I was trying to order another rifle since my other one is awaiting approval through ATF. I have read many reviews and watched videos about this piece of craftsmanship, the XCR. Currently, have the following on order as of yesterday.

XCR-L Mid, 5.56, 16" w/Mid M-LOK FDE. I also added a Cerakote finish that will look like this:
The color is a 50/50 mix distressed in Burnt Bronze with Gen II Graphite Black.

Trigger Air gun Gun barrel Wood Gun accessory

You ask what is awaiting approval from ATF. Sure, this is the beast.

SpikesTactical SBR ST Billet Compressor, .300 Blackout with Subsonic rounds. For optics, I have waiting at home; EOTech EXPS-3.0 Red dot with G43 Magnifier with FAST Unity mounts.

Black Air gun Trigger Grey Gun barrel

Super excited about this setup.

Anyway, I am looking forward to reading and learning from you experts.

I am currently shopping for optics for the XCR...

Did they quote you a lead time?

Yes, sorry, they said 2+ months.

As for my SBR, that's about 6-9 months

Welcome to the forum, btw! Nice to have you.

Keep in mind, the quoted lead times have been pretty unreliable. All of us regulars really wish RobArms would be more accurate with the lead times, but just so you know...it's much more likely to be 8 months to a year before you have the rifle in hand. It's worth the wait, but I just want you to go in with eyes open. Hopefully, I'm completely wrong and they get it to you in that 2 month window. Please keep us apprised of the situation as this is a recurring issue with RA in terms of quoted lead times. Nice thing is they don't take money up front so you're not out anything if you decide the wait is too long and you cancel; though on a custom color they may take a deposit....not sure.

Thank you for the transparency. I'm glad I'm here, I can see what you mean as far as lead times. Oh well, then it will be a double gift when I receive both rifles at the same time.
In the meantime, I'll just keep ordering rounds every paycheck until the rifle gets here.

Welcome
Do you have any prisms? I like prisms, shame the pa 3x/5x doesn't have a rmrc spot on the top

I do not. I must be upfront and say; these two are my first rifles ever! I've never owned a rifle; I have a few handguns for CCW. I am not new to rifles and weapons; I used them my whole career in the military and have a few friends with different calibers.
I'm going by word of mouth and experiences from close friends and hopefully from you guys. I was looking at the PA ones, is the Prism you speak of made by Hawke Optics?
I'm a big fan of Primary Arm's 1X and 3X Prisms.... Wish they'd redesign their 2X to be more compact like the 1X and 3X....and offer a 5X.

Got ya. I only know about it from this video from Iraqveteran8888 Review @ 7:45 he talks about the scope.
If it's true, I'll be able to fine-tune the scope in about a year, when I receive my rifle.

As far as prisms are concerned:
PA 3x micro is probably the best value at $300, but glass leaves a bit to be desired
Acog LED 3.5x pretty comfy, you can stack a nice dot on it, but around 1k
Elcan a bit above that, around 1500 used

I'd avoid the other Chinese optics and any LPVOs under 1k. Maybe start with the PA and see how you like magnified optics. Prisms are pretty bomb proof for the most part, but lack higher magnification. Don't even bother going beyond 1-8x in an LPVO, the 1-10x have extremely tight exit pupil at max power.

5x micro should be available now. Somehow they managed to get a similar eye box to the 3x but I don't have hands on yet. Offset red dot an option now.

Thanks...I'd be interested in checking it out.
I could have sworn they had a 1-8x now too.

It’s currently available for pre-order — I’m waiting for the green version though.

@AFVetSVT welcome to this forum. Does your login name indicate you are in Southern Vermont?

My XCR M got here this week with about a 3 month wait time. My L is still being made, but it wouldn't surprise me if it gets here soon too. Seems like wait times are decreasing.

I received an email last week stating that my rifle was currently out at Chrome, which should be 3 weeks or so.
