Awesome....dear god that's a lot of work behind and a whole lotta work ahead, congrats to the Kid.

You're going to have to do a write up here on that 6.5 AR-10,.....and hot damn do I hear ya on 6.5 ammo....I've actually considered getting out of the caliber for that reason.....just using a .308 and committing to make up the difference in proficiency. FGMM still to be had at a dollar a round every now and then......I'm really starting to appreciate the roll a large frame, accurate s/a fills. Especially out where I'm at....keep us posted.

Does your better half have any experience with RDS pistols yet?
I will try Chris. No promises though.;)
Looking at one of 3; P365 and get the optics cut, but heard not ambi-friendly (she's a lefty), Hellcat OSP, heard the trigger sucks on it, or the new Kimber R7 Mako, full ambi out the box and optics ready, but heard Kiber QC and CS sucks more than ever these days.

Optics-ready H&K VP9SK should be released soon. I have a VP9SK and find it has lower felt recoil like a larger gun, very customizable grip size, VERY ambi friendly (I’m lefty and shoot ambi). Highly recommend it, and if you want OR, that is supposedly in the pipeline (full sized OR VP9s have been available for a while.)

Rented the P365 and the Hellcat last week. I thought that I would have liked to Hellcat over the P365, but was I wrong. The P365 felt better and we shot it better than the Hellcat. The only thing I didn't quite like was the shorter grip in the P365 but again I liked how it shot shot and felt better. Wife too. So if I go that way eventually, it will probably be the P365x.
I like the full size VP9 but will base my and her decision on trying to rent a SK first. Strange thing is that most of the reviewers rate the P365 over the Hellcat by a small margin, the Shield Plus over the P365 by a small margin (Shield is bigger slightly). The Mako falls in-between both the P365 and Shield Plus in size.
Looks like this may not go down until next year, 'cause I want to try and rent them 1st to compare side by side.

Might try a G43X. I like it better than the P365 or Shield and with Shield Arms' 15 round mags, a Suarez trigger shoe, a Ghost Edge drop in connector and porting, it's actually damn impressive for a micro gun. Grip's longer than most of what you listed too.
