Since the manufacturers of weapons, mags, and other accessories have so much to lose financially with an AWB I was wondering if anyone was aware of any history of manufacturers being involved in lobbying against any AWB. Its pretty ironic that weapons for Law enforcement and Military use are almost totaly dependant on civillian innovation, expertise, and manufacture of assault weapons that their civilian consumers should expect a heavy lobbying force from them using their substantial leverage to defeat bans on their products to civilians. Do they just stand on the sidelines and go whatever direction the wind blows or are they proactive in this arena?

I think they are pretty proactive but you have to remember, some of them already have the gov contract and don't need us insignificant civilians to buy their stuff. That and they probably figure there is always a work around, at least that is what they think.

I hope for their sake they get more involved this next time.
