How would you go about trading a gun from one individual to another, like changing whos its registured for Im going to sell my p99 to my brother in Tennesee, do I send it to some one with an ffl over their straight from my house or could I send it straight to him, and then when he goes to pick it up they just change owner ship or how do you get a gun off your name???

Hmm... I thought America was still a free country and you didn't have to register your guns :headscratch:

But in terms of shipping, yes, you would have to send it to an FFL holder because I don't believe that you can ship guns to anyone other than yourself or an FFL holder.

How to get your name off of it? Wright a bill of sale, with seiral #, make, model, person buying gun & drivers license #, person selling gun, Both sign & date. Should keep you out of trouble if the gun is used in a crime after said date.

Actually... you just need to go through a FFL transfer... nothing additional is required...

Not sure about what state your in.

I'm in Texas and Texas-to-Texas individual sales require no FFL and can be shipped direct to the individual.

Texas-to-{other state} require shipment to a FFL.

You should be able to substitute your state in there and it may/maynot be the same as my sensible state of Texas.

I live in Utah, and Im selling it to my brother in Tennesse, He's buying it to "conceal" becuse he now has his license or is getting it or somthing I dont know hes in the army and aways every where so I dont talk to him much I thought you had to have the wepon registered to carry it conceald... Im most probably wrong and also I thought that it you bought a gun through a dealer it attomaticly was registered but if you but from another citizen like your next door neighbor it was fine but if it was registered in his name and it was used in a crime he would be busted...sorry lot of ramblng. Thanks for all the help and advice!!! I kinda did this once except it was a cow and we had bigger sticks :deadhorse: also rigimortis had set in and its skin was leather and all organs n' stuff where gone anyways thats all for now

Unless he comes to get it you will need to ship it to an FFL for interstate shipment. A CCW is a different thing. He will need to go and get a CCW permit, but to mu knowledge that isn;t related to the actual firearm, just the ability to have one concealed.
