If I cant have an XCR-M in 2009, LWRC SABR is next in line. *Pic Inside*

I'm not in the market or budgeted for a 7.62 NATO till 4th Qtr 2009, so Robinson has all the time in the world to get their XCR-M model together. However, in the event the XCR-M slips to 2010, I may feel compelled to look at competing product.

LWRC's SABR is next on my list. It's freaky how much it reminds me on an XCR.

That is rather tasty looking! >:D
That thing is hot. I was looking into it on the website. If I remember correctly you can add one to your cart, but its $99,999.99 ? lol a bit over my budget :)
Yes, it is very XCR esque. I don't think that the -M will slip that far, but if so that would probably be a nice substitute.
The SABR looks amazing, but i didn't think they had a release date on it yet. Anyone heard differently?

I had heard it was going to be priced at $3500 with a single upper but i don't know how reliable that is (the $99k placeholder went up when it was featured on future weapons but is gone now).
everyone I've spoken to said their wait time is horrific :(

Oh hell yes it is. There have been people waiting over a year for product. Hell my upper took 10 months to finally get to my dealer.

However, LWRC had some credit issues, then got gobbled up by Matech, then relocated, then switched to Cold Hammer Forged barrels. For awhile they just couldnt make product at all. Apparently they got it together now and are supposed to have turn around times in the 8 week range and under

Who knows though. Some people get all butthurt over product delays. I just save money, shoot my XCR and enjoy myself to new stuff drops
I prefer to wait for the XCR-M

I agree.
What does it do that a(nother?) AR-10 doesn't, except for have a side charging handle?
Some of LWRC's product are shipping pretty quickly. Two weeks ago I ordered a M6A2 from dealer in Ohio. Yesterday I received a call that it had arrived. I must have gotten pretty lucky because initially they told me it would take about 6 to 8 weeks.

short stroke piston set up, I'd imagine.
Hurry up Alex, I want to enjoy my XCR-M in 2009 ;D ;D ;D ;D
LWRC, dont walk RUN away! This opinion is not from a single personal experience. Its from industry experience and a compilation of customer experiences.

Can you cite to any examples? Just curious, as I love my LWRC, but I have not had to call on LWRC for any assistance.

And, I am taking a good hard look at that SABR.
I've only had good experiences with LWRC's customer service. I had to send my M6 upper because of a problem with the gas system. They not only fixed under warranty, but they up graded a few of my old part for free. Over all, it took them just over a week. Before the ownership changed some people were having some custom service problems. I think all of those issues have been fixed. Go check out their forum and take a look for yourself.

I 2nd that.
Anyone here think the Kel-Tec RFB will be worth a look? I'm also anxious to see the XCR-M, but the RFB may be available sooner, and is a bit more a-typical.
