Hello everyone I'm a new member from California looking to buy a XCR. I like that it's got a long stroke gas piston with the AR ergonomics. I have actually never seen one in person!

I'm looking forward to being a XCR owner!

EDIT: Oh boy, it seems like ordering directly from RA is going to be interesting!

Don't order direct. You'll never get a rifle that way. Order from Kermit Zahm if you want the rifle in any sort of reasonable time frame. Do a search here for his name and contact info. Call him or email directly....don't PM him here. You'll get faster service with a call. If you pay by check it's about 3% cheaper than CC due to the fees but you'll have to wait for the check to clear.

Weston,
Greetings from SW Ontario. Hope you enjoy both your XCR-M and the forum. There are some VERY knowledgeable guys here. Don't be surprised if you have a glitch or two getting your rifle sorted out, but there are very few problems that you can't find an answer to on the forum, and once the glitches are sorted out, you will love your rifle.

Not sure where you ordered your -M, but the guys at Wolverine Supplies are the primary importers for it and they stock most parts.

Enjoy & welcome!
Cheers,
Hoag

New here. Waiting on my xcr from wolverine supplies. Ordered the 6.8 along with the 223 conversion kit and some mags. Do I need to clean or oil it before my first trip to the range?

Hello to all.

I do not currently own an XCR but I saw, played with, and loved the SCAR platform but did not like the price. I looked and looked for an alternative that was priced affordably. I came across the XCR and fell in love. I currently own a DPMS oracle with a nice set up, but I am looking to upgrade to the XCR. Hoping to find the right deal, possibly trade up with some cash to get what I want.

Exactly how does one end up from the swamps of the deep south to Canada?:D We would cross the boarder from Watertown, but we always had to come back.

Southern dialect trying to speak French is something I've never heard before eah LOL

It was cheaper in phone bills and Air Canada flights to marry her AND add a place in Canada. lol

Yes. My French language is poor at best and a corrupted dialect at worst(Cajun French)even without the additional Southern Drawl.....

Would love to be in the US more but the Media on both sides has made her leery of the boogieman.

I don't blame her at all.
The news loves to talk about John Travolta, and I wouldn't want to be around him either.
Luckily, I understand that he lives in one of those foreign socialist utopias - Kalifornya.

Hell, you natives don't even speak English:p

I've worked with guys from Louisiana and normally it takes me at least 3 days with them to finally figure out what they're trying to say LOL On the phone? Forget it! Southern drawl? Got to speak english to hear it! (Just busting on you, apologies, you should of just seen my face the first time I sat down with some guys at a fish fry, I was wondering what country I was in LOL)

That said, all is forgiven on my cajun speak if I wear a LSU shirt LOL

You past 3 winters up there yet? I'll take the heat over the snow and cold any day. You must love her dearly.

Funny you mention that. We actually Honeymooned there, in LA, so she saw the hotel kalifornya, live and in concert daily. LOL (a last minute business trip(mine) that altered our wedding day) Lucky I escaped both the Wedding date change and made the Escape from LA.

I do well in most countries(I never go anywhere without being able to speak "Take me to the American Embassy" in perfect local dialect. lol

Bought our first place in 2006, I was back and forth a lot. Mostly in Canada lately. On the winters, I haven't had to buy ice yet and they drink tea hot of all things, blasphemy. Pretty good folk here tho, just as in the States. Not wild about the laws and politics......glad I moved here, heck, I wasn't being taxed enough apparently in the States. lol

Yes, Love her greatly but that really has nothing to do with it.....I had dated everyone in the US(read that everyone had figured me out. lol) and had to "branch out" to new territory. LOL

8Ball here. I have had my XCR for about a year or so. I bought it for a coyote gun, and it is awesome. I was just recently reading that I could use 10 shot Pistol mags in it, up here in Canada. And that's how I found out about this forum. So thank you on the addition and any new updates regarding our fine firearm in common. Please let me know. Thanks
