A lot or research is starting to be released about LH shooters and the need for LH firearms. Specifically, the increase has been do to RH shooters that are left-eye dominant. I spoke recently to a gun builder / engineer at a rifle company, thus, my source of the information.

It would be nice if the XCR was made in a LH configuration - imagine the competition to the AR for LH shooters.

STAG is the only people that make them as far as I know. But would it be cost wise for RA to do it for a small % of people?

I guess if it was cost effective there would be alot more makers producing the L/hand models, so to think a small company like RA could be able to do it, would be wishful thinking. :

It shouldn't be hard to at lease add an ambi safety and mag release to the XCR, since those were on the prototype. I imagine the upper receiver would be more work, and probably wouldn't be necessary, as it does have a shell deflector and ejects forward.

I honestly don't know but I don't see much involved in the installation of the selector switch. Give them a call, they are very easy to talk to. Tell em Aussie Roy sent ya!

As long as you have a screw driver or hex key (depending on what grip/screw you're running) you should be able to install an ambi safety/selector. It is very much like the setup in an AR.

The mag release on the XCR is longer than that of a AR so it won't work.

I don't mind the right side eject and actually like the charging handle where it is, so as a left-handed/eyed person I really don't see a Stag type left handed model as being necessary.

As a lefty I don’t mind about the ejector, it’s the charging handle that requires more awkwardness to operate.

Theres no huge gap between the lefty and the right!
Just cool and depends with ones flexibility and ability to switch
