It certainly looks interesting enough. I have an ACOG and it is very visible at night. I suspect the Leopold would only show against something with some lighter contrast at night but might be perfectly okay during the day.
I'm currently searching for something to put on my FAL. I've tried the ACOG on it as well as the XCR and like it on both, but it is pricey. Of course it has the built in ballistic drop information while the Leopold doesn't. I've pretty much ruled out a red dot for the FAL because of an assumption that it would be a more medium range weapon than the XCR.
