Odd or not, I was told my rifle is another 2-maybe 4 months out. I asked about the supposed "Available" rifle and did not get a reply. Gramps is also waiting on a rifle. RA said the barrels are way behind, a year in some cases. All waiting on Chrome lining.

More than likely, I will just buy another BCM. This is one reason I got away from RA way back. Got tired of the shenanigans... fricken awesome rifles but man what a pain in the butt dealing with the backlogs and broken promises...Kinda reminds me of my exwife!

The problem is they overpromise and under deliver. When I saw RA telling people earlier in the year that it was a 3 month wait, I knew that was not accurate. I'd wager they did too TBH. I'm afraid they take the tack that they'll lose a potential customer by sharing the real 8+ month lead time. My last upper (not even a full rifle) took 12 months IIRC. With RA, patience is key. It all depends on how bad you want their rifles/parts.

I just want them to communicate better. I don't care if things take 8-12 months, just tell me what's going on. Radio silence does not inspire confidence.

Ooph....and when I ordered, I was told 8 months. RA's timelines are EXTREMELY "flexible", lol.

I just sent in my old XCR-l for full upgrades, plus they painted it FDE. Turn around time… 2 weeks. I’ve got no complaints
