I've seen some questions about length of pull on xcr's, so I thought I'd measure mine to help some people out.

My xcr has the folding/collapsible adaptor, a vltor 5 position tube, and a magpul ctr stock.

Depending on where you measure to on the butt of the ctr, the lop fully closed is ~12.6-13" and lop fully opened is ~16-16.4".

Magik,

Where are you measuring from for the LOP? The Trigger to the back of the stock? I am waiting to see the new MagPul UBR but it tells you it's LOP is only 8" to 11.3". Even with armour, I think this is going to be way short for me as I measured my LOP to be 15" from the inside of the elbow to the last joint on the trigger finger? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Magpul states that their LOP on the CTR stock ranges from 7.75" to 11.05". I'm guessing they couldn't have allowed for the folding stock adapter, and interestingly the new up-coming UBR stock is listed as 8" to 11.3" so it should be a little longer LOP than the CTR.

This makes me feel better as I measure my arm's LOP at 15" and was worried the UBR wouldn't have sufficient adjustment when not shooting with armour.

Apparently the new UBR stock looks a little different from the photo on their web site, and has been made stronger. Looks good to me! :)

sure the stock folds! I really like it and can't see doing anything different other than maybe adding one of magpul's cheek piece risers for the stock if I was using a magnified optic-depending on the mount. But I like my current setup and don't think I'd change anything.

Just how tall are some of you guys?

I find the factory folder to be just about ideal in terms of LOP. Some times I want something shorter so when using the folding collapsing adapter, I cut 5/8" off the buffer tube threads to bring the stock in closer.

You cannot equate the LOP of an AR to the LOP of an XCR. Even without a stock attached the distance from the trigger to the end of the lower receiver is a lot longer on an XCR than an AR.
