Anyone in here change the trigger guard on the XCR to a Magpul Enhanced one. Was it difficult to do?
I've heard people have actually broken their lowers putting these in.
Any tips on doing this without any damage ???

I changed mine.I just used a brass or polymer punch, just be carefull, support the lower as much as possible, and don't beat the hell out of it.The pin will come out, just be patient and use lighter taps,it's lower going but won't damage the frame.I don't remember the punch size I used, just make sure it's close but not to big.A little silicon in the hole around the pin might help it slide a little better.

I've done three or four of 'em now. Cake all the way around.

Here's the deal on the broken ones (IIRC) - one end has a roll pin, the other has a detent for lowering the trigger guard for winter use.

Drive the roll pin, not the detent.

My lower doesnt have the straight trigger guard. It came with an enhanced guard already built in.
