Just a heads up.

Sportsman's Warehouse has the Benchmade 670 and 670s Apparitions on clearance for $75.00 each.

The 670 is the plain edge blade and the 670s is the combo edge partially serrated.

This is a great deal on a great knife.

I bought a 670s last weekend from my local store and had them look for more out there. They found three 670's at a store in MN and three 670s' at a store in CO. They won't transfer the knives to your local store that are on clearance but you can place a phone order with the MN or CO stores and they will ship to your address.

I just bought the 670 for my son for his upcoming birthday from the MN store so now they have two of the 670 models left.

Sportsman's Warehouse item numbers are:

Yes, they are shipping mine to me and I don't live in MN or CO. I ordered mine from the MN store and they are shipping to my home address.

Good deal, no pun iintended.

That's the same they charged me for knife and S/H.

I liked the plain edge 670 model that you and I ordered from the MN store better than the combo edge I bought locally.

My son wants the combo edge, so when the plain edge arrives, I'll put the combo up and start EDC'ing the plain edge and put the combo edge one I'm currently carrying away for my son's BD.

I sent you a PM regarding this.

Yes, keep it by all means. This is even a better deal than the regular 670s. The D2 steel is considered better for edge retention than the 154CM, but slightly less rust resistant.

The G10 scales are lighter weight, giving the 672sbx a bit lighter weight than the 670s.

I sent it back to Benchmade this morning...

I hope it dont take 4 weeks to get it back...

No problem, always happy to pass along good deals.

Why did you send it back, tight spring?

You can adjust the Optimizer spring and also the blade tension yourself.

The smallest wrench supplied will do the Optimizer spring bar and the larger wrench will adjust the blade tension/pivot screw itself.

I sent it back to Benchmade for warranty repair.

I tried to take the optimizer out and either Sportsman's warehouse used loctite on the set screw or
it was just over tightened way too much but the head of the screw stripped out.

I'm pretty bummed out but I'm sure they will make it right.

Oh well Murphy's Law
