Re: Old Rifle, New Pics..warning lots of pics!

Start firearm training with children when they are young and curious.
Show them the correct handling and safety procedures.
Make sure they know the FOUR MAJOR SAFETY RULES!
1. ALL FIREARMS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.
2. DO NOT POINT THE FIREARM AT ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT. [BACKGROUND]
Show them what a firearm can do in contrast what they see on TV. [Let them see the mess a bullet can make to a cantaloupe or watermelon and advise that is what can happen to a person.]
Don't force them to participate in the training.
Don't tell them that firearms are untouchable, but advise them they can hold or shoot them but only when you are there.
If firearms are forbidden to touch, then they will sneak and play with them.

Let children satisfy their curiosity about firearms, give them the opportunity to hold and use them in a safe manner and you should be okay for the most part.

I've been through seven (7) kids and the above has made them safe with firearms and the firearms were no longer a "mystery" or "forbidden" .

TEACH THEM EARLY AND CORRECTLY - KEEP THE SECOND AMENDMENT ALIVE AND WELL IN OUR CHILDREN AND FOR THE FUTURE.

nice pics!

I called it "gun school." At any appropriate time my son could say gun school and I would let him see any guns he wanted too. Always using proper handling.

To my disappointment, he didn't turn into a gun nut.

Those look really nice Scott! That really makes the skulls pop out. I'm SO very glad I don't have to cut any more of those out with an xacto knife!

Rail covers look nice. I hope it was a good surprise to you when I did them in alternating colors (desert brown and fde) so that you could do a checkerboard pattern with them. Also, the "santini skull" is everywhere! LOL
