It wasn't too bad. I bought the HBAR used and sold the light weight barrel to offset most of the cost.You got some money tied up in that baby. Best looking XCR I've seen to date!

I send my H Barrel down this week and wanted a "full flutting", I'm going for as much weight loss as I can on my heavy.

I had the entire barrel fluted. Some people expressed concern about how the barrel would shoot after the fluting. It shoots at least MOA, and continues to deliver tight groups after it heats up.
Weight:
Fluted Heavy Barrel = 34.4 ounces
"Pencil" Barrel = 30.9 ounces

Brother, THAT is one sexy rifle! Definitely one of the best looking XCRs I've seen. I really dig the fluted barrel and will keep ADCO in mind for fluting on my gun.
Two questions:
1. What kind of finish did you use for the green parts (or did you send them out for finishing)?
2. What caliber is your gun chambered for?
Very impressive. I hope it shoots as well as it looks!

It does shoot very well.
1. I did the finish myself with DuraCoat OD green. It's very easy to do. I did the barrel in DuraHeat matte black.
2. 5.56
.... The XCR should come looking exactly like this ..... :bow:
