When you're an EMT (or Paramedic in this case) it's an automatic response. I don't think he was saving the guys life out of empathy. He just did it because that's what he's trained to do, you don't think about it.wow, that's a crazy story...
If someone forced me to shoot them, I really can't see myself having the empathy to
try to bring them back-even if I had emt training.
