I have asked this question other places but still do not have a great response.

I am looking for a nice range bag for my XCR once the gov says I can chop the barrel down. I have a pelican case that came with my MSAR and while it is very "Tacticool" it is not practical.

So my question is, what are you guys carrying your XCR's in?

I use a pelican but when I chop it I may try my Midway USA range bag. It may actually fit in there with the stock folded. Granted, that is just an ammo bag usually but it might work. When I went to Daniel Defense the other day one of the guys pulled an SBR M4 out of what looked like a laptop bag. I will ask him what brand next time I am there.

for the sbr I'd use a tennis racket bag ;D

the soft case I use for my rifles is the 42" case from mfi.

I got it in a group buy on hkpro along with an optics mount for my ptr. It's a very well put together bag and has some nice features I haven't seen on other range bags. just read their description there. there's a 36" one that may suit your purposes nicely.
