I've only had my XCR to the range a couple of times, but when I get it there I find myself pulling the trigger pretty quick. Well, I maybe even fill the air with lead. Pelicans, seagulls and small aircraft scatter for cover. Hell, if I had wanted a single shot, I would have bought one. I've also learned, the hard way, that the barrel can get real hot. Even a klutz like me can lay down effective fire 50-100yds at a rate of 40-50rds per minute. Somebody who knows what they're doing is, I'm sure, much faster. Question: How fast, how long, can you fire one of these things before the barrel does the viagra droop?

I have no idea how fast the actual shots are, but hammer pairs sound like a controlled burst from an automatic.
One of these days, I'll ask what the split time is on the timer. My ear says "faster than an AR", but Bill has worked over my triggers too (the Bravo Special, not the standard way he works over triggers).

As for how many rounds can go down-range before you have problems, I can tell you what I know.
Load 13 mags, and fire them as fast as you can get back on target. I'm guessing 390 rounds were all within 4 to 6 minutes tops. That was no problem, three times.

Except the handle of one of the cases blew onto the barrel and the handle melted.

In other words, don't sweat it, you aren't going to screw anything up. Mine are all light barrels too.
