I went aout and fired about 160 rounds of 6.8 today. Once I get settled in and fed I will post a few pics and what not. Just looking at my CED chrono average was probably just under 2500fps 12 feet from the barrel but I will check it all when I am done with dinner. Overall I am extremely happy with this caliber. The XCR in general is not a benchrest tack driver but I would say that my 6.8 was shooting 1/2-3/4 MOA with the scope and 3/4-1 MOA with the Eotech. It was a little too windy to get really good consistant groups but when it did calm down it did well.

OK , today was not the best day to shoot for groups, my target stand kept blowing over as I forgot my stakes for it. I was able to shoot a few strings through the Chrono, both SSA 115gr OTM and Hornady 110 V-Max Balistic Tip. They felt identical, and chronoed about the same. The temp was high 60s, winds 5 knots gusting to 15 and humidity was around 45%.

I shot strings of 5 shots, first the OTM twice, then the Hornady (i shot 2 strings of the Hornady but can't find the second set of numbers)

String 1: 2477, 2482, 2505, 2474, 2460
Es: 45
Sd: 16
Av: 2479

String 2: 2482, 2464, 2488, 2495, 2491
ES: 31
SD: 12
AV: 2484

String 3: 2523, 2520, 2494, 2526, 2537
ES: 43
SD: 15
AV: 2520

I remember the 2nd string of Hornady being about the same as the first. I think that it will be realistic to work up a handload that will shoot around 2600-2650, it will just take a little time.

I put my new LaRue poor boy mount on and it is great. I allowed me to shoot way more accurate at 100 yards (the furthest this range goes). Here are a few pics, the first target is with the eotech and magnifier, the second with the Burris scope.

Gunner, as soon as I work up some loads I will share, those are Silver State Armory OTM. The Hornady V-Max was nice but I only had 20 rounds of it, didn't sit down and shoot lots of it.

All, it is a fine shooting rifle, I am more than comfortable taking it out for pig after the new year. I will continue to update as I shoot more.

Aziaror, I also load, hell now days you have to $$$$$$$ I use a Remington (large rifle primer) 6.8 Case, the 115gr bullet of choice, topped off with 28.0gr of H322 (meaters fantastic). 18 inch barrel should be 2,500ft per second. Course all the warnings apply. ;D The Silver State brass is small rifle primer. I started with Remington, so there I stay. That would be a hell of a mix up indeed.
