Re: What barrel lengths and barrel profiles will be available for the XCR-M?
Normally, I like longer barrels in .308s, but I have a heavyish 20" on my HK, so my call is for a light 18". An 18" is good enough for velocity and keeps the longish XCR OAL under control. The idea of a light, handy .308 self-loader appeals to me. My HK has the heavy, pig of a self-loader already covered.
Of course, with interchangable barrels, the sky is the limit. Ah, twists. Almost forgot, 1 in 10 is OK, but really we should look at 1 in 12. I don't plan on shooting many 190-200gr bullets in these sorts of guns. That's for the bolt (or straightpull...) guns.
