I ordered a 6.5 XCR to be delivered in Dec. Are stainless steel barrels with no chrome lining going to be an option on the 6.5 XCR?

they're chrome lined. They're exactly like the regular barrels, just made of stainless.

nah, it's a cosmetic/longevity appeal. It's just like the regular barrels, just a different material.

A match SS barrel will give better accuracy than a Chrome lined barrel, but will not last as long. Accuracy will degrade within the first 4-5,000 rounds.

The Kreiger in my AR was 0.5 MOA for the first few thousand rounds and now at almost 10K it's shooting just over 1MOA.

Out of curiosity, what kind of barrel steel is used as the 'standard' barrel?

4140? 4150? Mil11595 vanadium?
