The prototype works great for all those that are not right. Seriously it rocks.

I would buy one of these if it worked well. I am having a hard time imagining how one of these would work though. I realize they are out there for the AR, but I have never seen one of those.

It is super burly. Just uses a rocker type setup.

Terra, is this one of those projects that will be put off for a while so rifle production can continue at an accelerated rate?

I'm also anxiously awaiting my ambi safety....but I'll be patient! I'm just happy to have my XCR.

I do have one question that you might be able to answer:

Is the design something that can be retrofit to existing lowers, or will it require a change in the lower?

Yes, as far as I know from my conversations with Alex and Terra, it will be a drop in unit that you can change out yourself provided you know how to remove your current mag release. Think of it as being "like" the Norgon ambi-release for AR's "but different".
