I'm curious if the markings on your mags that wouldn't drop free were all the same and the ones that would drop free were different. Or, did some mags with the same markings drop free while others didn't? Were the ones that wouldn't drop free also the ones that had feeding issues or did some that would drop free have feeding issues? Were/are any of the markings the same as pictured above? Sorry for so many questions. I'm an engineer and like to track down every possible variable.Just letting you know I bought 29 of the Unimags and had trouble with 7 of them, IIRC. They wouldn't drop free or were a very tight fit on a couple different AR lowers and XCRs.
I don't know. I didn't use them. I wasn't going to buy the 7.62x39 Bren 2 because of it using proprietary magazines, but changed my mind when I found out that the magazine adapter is available. I'm pretty confident that the factory mags would work 100%. They appear to have an AR15 top, but a constant curvature. People have said the original clear ones crack, but the newer black ones seem to be more durable.Do the factory CZ mags work 100%? I was mildly interested in one mainly b/c it has a mag designed from the ground up to be a X39 mag.
I just searched on gun.deals and found the best price. I forget who it came from, but they shipped fast. I bought the version without the pistol brace because I'm planning on SBR'ing it. Yes, I did use steel cased ammo. In this case it was the Tula 122gr FMJ that's copper (no bimetal) jacketed.I was checking out that Pistol, and it looks Great with the Pistol Brace, but have not found best pricing yet.
Also what Ammunition were you running...Wishful thinking that it was Steel Case.
