If only there were someplace else to go....The ship is sinking. Fast. Personally, saving it seems like an impossible task. I think I'd rather just find a way to get off.

History cries out but we rarely listen.I am trying to remain optimistic....but as other people are pointing out, skepticism will likely soften the blow of what is really about to unfold.
Brings the Churchill quote to mind,
“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may
come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
And yet people have believed that Jesus' return was imminent since the last time he left. Not saying we shouldn't be "watchmen on the wall"....just temper it with the realization that history is replete with instances of empires falling and rising. There is no getting off of this ship. It sure is starting to look like Revelations reads. John had absolutely no idea about what he was writing, yet here we are living it. The good part is we know how it ends. It should be an interesting ride.
There are far too many parents that look to the school to provide “parenting”! Makes it pretty easy to capture those minds when they hear these “gov will take care of you” messages for 12 (+) years with no pushback or difference of thought from home…in many cases because those parents experienced the same…Public schools

I think we'd have better luck winning the hearts and minds of Taliban in A-Stan than the Communists in Kalifornistan.Welp, looks like Kalifornistan is the 1st lost cause. But we knew that didn't we.
Very trueI think we'd have better luck winning the hearts and minds of Taliban in A-Stan than the Communists in Kalifornistan.
Welp, looks like Kalifornistan is the 1st lost cause. But we knew that didn't we.
I'm not a die-hard prepper but for the last fifteen years or so we have been doing our best to get our water and our food situation under control. With the emergence of covid last year we have really dumped a ton of money in the trying to expand are prepping, over the last year or so we've been acquiring silver knowing that the dollars days are numbered. Unfortunately I haven't been able to pull up stakes and get out into the country where I can get the cattle and enough room to grow my own food.Canary in the mineshaft. My take away from the last few weeks, is that the government is on the cusp of openly being done with suggestion and even the illusion of choice.....this is something we'd all do well to go ahead and internalize. The board is set. Those who wish to enjoy the next few years should be figuring out how to grow their own food, raising their own meat (rabbits, goat, cattle) and source their own water. Collapse/inflation is going to hit hard for people who rely on the dollar, for those who have the above and a roof, it'll be life as usual.
Your timing is spot on, good luck anyway.I'm not a die-hard prepper but for the last fifteen years or so we have been doing our best to get our water and our food situation under control. I get this.I'm not sure it's going to be life as normal, the government is still going to try to enforce their will upon these people and not to mention the hordes of the unprepared.
I'd not read about that, if that's happening it's quite a throw back to the great depression, when we saw a similar thing take place with both crops and livestock under the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933.....while people were starving.I think the government's going for broke this fall, covid was already overhyped and used as a control mechanism, Now farmers are being paid to destroy their crops or forfeit any more government assistance.
I always wondered how places like Cuba Venezuela descended in the socialism and communism now I got a front row seat
Yeah, I can confirm this....the USG is threatening farmers with loss of subsidies if they don't destroy certain crops. Though, to be fair, they've done this on a regular basis to keep certain crop prices propped up.I'd not read about that, if that's happening it's quite a throw back to the great depression, when we saw a similar thing take place with both crops and livestock under the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933.....while people were starving.
I guess they figure "why wait?"
My belief is they intend to use food to control us, specifically to force vaccine compliance.Yeah, I can confirm this....the USG is threatening farmers with loss of subsidies if they don't destroy certain crops. Is that what's going on now? Maybe, but it sure seems INCREDIBLY wasteful and unsustainable to be destroying food when people are starving in other parts of the world and considering the environmental cost and impact of growing food in the first place.
Or, is this a page from Holodomor, where Stalin proved if you control the food, you control the people. I'm less and less inclined to buy into Halon's razor....as I've said a few times now. Too much evil to chalk it up to mere stupidity.
to keep certain crop prices propped up.
Logical conclusion to the ramifications of Ozzie gun control; an unarmed populace that can't fight back. This is what’s going on Down Under with pushback to the lockdown tyrann…
Most people have never heard of the Holodomor let alone understand it’s ramifications if such thing were tried here. Especially those with the “government would never hurt me” mindset.Yeah, I can confirm this....the USG is threatening farmers with loss of subsidies if they don't destroy certain crops. Today, medical professionals are being terminated as a safety measure. No doubt, some readers will be outraged by this historical comparison. Willy Hoffmeister was not aware of his mental blinders; similarly blinders block awareness of many today. In his book They Thought They Were Free, (Milton) Mayer tells the story of how ordinary Germans—“we little people” as they referred to themselves—became Nazis. Mayer befriended these former Nazis and also examined the historical record to verify their stories.
Consider policeman Willy Hofmeister. Mayer relates the story of how in 1938, Hofmeister was assigned the job of rounding up Jewish males “for their own protection.” Hofmeister was no Nazi thug; he was polite and respectful as he carried out his officious but deadly deeds.
As Hofmeister was taking into custody one Jewish man, he recalled being asked why the town synagogue was blown up that day. He answered, “They blew it up as a safety measure.”
Hoffer taught there are high personal and societal costs when individuals renounce personal responsibility.“When we lose our individual independence in the corporateness of a mass movement, we find a new freedom—freedom to hate, bully, lie, torture, murder and betray without shame and remorse. Herein undoubtedly lies part of the attractiveness of a mass movement. We find there the “right to dishonour,” which according to Dostoyevsky has an irresistible fascination.”
Historical ignorance, it would seem, is bliss. Most people have never heard of the Holodomor let alone understand it’s ramifications if such thing were tried here. Especially those with the “government would never hurt me” mindset.
