I too can't wait for my 6.8 SPC barrel. I've been toying around with an AR in 6.8, and have tried several reloads. IMR and H4198 don't have enough "umph" to feed the next round in the AR. Groups were good, shouldn't have to worry about that with the XCR just adjust the gas and crank on. Let me share this load, 'course all the warnings apply.

New Remington cases, Federal Match Large Primers, 115 grain Bullet of your choice, 28.0 grains of H322 (meter's beautifully), OAL 2.260. This load came from the Hodgdon manual and is near MAX (MAX is 28.2C). Velocity is close to 2600 FPS. I can't confirm as I don't own a cromy. Shoots under an inch at 100. I will try this with the XCR when I get my barrel installed.

guys,
I know the wait is agonizing. Believe me, if we could do something about it, the kits would be on your doorsteps right now. Unfortunately, we are victims of this whole fiasco, too. The first time around, the vendor doing the barrels for us turned every single barrel wrong. So, we had to place an order for blanks, wait for them to get here, and then start turning them ourselves. We had guys pulling overtime to get them ready. Then finally (recently) we had them sent out to be chromed, and again, we play the waiting game. I know it's been a neverending wait, but there really isn't anything we can do except keep estimating ship dates. I know this reflects badly on our company, but hopefully we can make it up to you by sending them out as quickly as possible when we DO have them. I sincerely apologize for all this mess. I wish there was more we could do for such great customers.

You just did it!...That's the best anyone or any company can do. Do your best and be up front and honest with the customers; good or bad.

I find that I am much more able to take the news even if it's bad, if the company keeps communicating. It's only when the company doesn't answer, that things get much worse.

Thanks for taking the time and having the courage to tell us what you know, even if it isn't necessarily what we want to hear.

I think I speak for all when I say, I'd rather wait for a product that is well done, than get something that was rushed and done poorly.

Keep up the good work Terra! 8)

Hey Click Click, I too am waiting for my 6.8 SPC Kit. Deer season, in Alabama, is just weeks away and the 6.8 is on my mind. Bill Springfield just did my trigger job.......... and it's all ready for the 6.8. If you haven't did your trigger yet you can't beat $49.00 ANYWHERE. Breaks like glass. I believe the 6.8 will be a good caliber for Hogs. Got a pet load yet??? Gunner69

Hey Click Click, I have a bunch of 6.8 SPC all loaded up............ sure would be nice to have the kit to install. Went to the Robinson website, each and EVERY day, but no word on the ship date. If you handload, and need a good recipe, let me know. I have a rule that I don't shoot in the back yard range after deer season starts. Season starts the 17th, this is cutting things awful close. i ordered special boxes, just for you guys. ;)

j.k. I'm out of all the good boxes... everything is too big or too small, and i know how you all hate packing peanuts..... so I ordered more. I can't wait to start shipping those out :D If it's possible to fit them into a priority mail box, I may do that... then it's only 2 days shipping!!! We'll see.
