I have not seen it yet, but my FFL has received my new XCR. One question he had for me was "where is the caliber marking on the receiver?" I assume that his eyesight is as good as anyone's and that the XCR does not have a caliber marked on the receiver, b/c it is a multi-caliber rifle. Is this correct?

If your are curious why I am asking, it is b/c here in Hawaii we are required to declare to the local registration authority the make, model, caliber, action type, barrel length and serial number of any firearm coming into the state. If the local registration authority cannot see the caliber markings on the firearm, they will require the FFL to apply them with die stamps or an electric engraving tool.

So, does the XCR have caliber markings anywhere on the rifle?

Thanks, all. I received an e-mail last night from my FFL that said the rifle is ready for pick-up. I assume that means he found the caliber marked on the barrel near the muzzle and that this marking will satisfy Hawaii law. I will pick it up on Monday and see what he found.
