I'm at LAX waiting for a flight back home so will keep this one short. My first gun was a Marlin Golden 39A lever action .22 - guess what I still have it and it's 38 years old.

My newest is the DSA FAL I've posted pics of elsewhere and the second newest was the XCR.

1. What was your first gun? Some kind of .22? Can't remember what kind.
2. How old were you the first time you went shooting?I was 5.. hehe
3. Do you hunt every year? I've only been twice...wasn't a huge fan.
4. Worst gun you ever shot? This giant, old SKS of my dad's. It had a terrible kick, was incredibly loud, and jammed after 3 rounds.
5. Worst range experience?Around here, a "range" means a field with targets.
6. Do you work in law enforcement/military? I would, if I was a brave person.
7. What would you give for a free XCR in 6.8 with a lifetime supply of parts and ammo? (no limbs!)Maybe my stupid Mexican car...
8. Real name?Terra, obviously. :)
9. If you could pick between traveling around the world or owning an AK factory, which would you pick?AK Factory. Then I'd sell it at an inflated price and travel the world.

1. HK USP 9
2. 22
3. Never been.
4. Either a S&W 500 with a 4" barrel or Mauser HSc. The 500 was just unenjoyable. Personally, my a 6" .357 is pushing the limit for "fun" shooting. The Mauser wasn't bad to shoot, but left me with some pretty gnarly slide bite.
5. I went shooting with my girlfriend, my old roommate, and his wife. He and I have done a fair amount of shooting, but the girls were new shooters. So we were on the range giving them some tips with a Walther P22. We were being really safe and responsible, as usual. We hadn't even fired a shot. However, one of the guys who works there comes onto the range and tells us to come outside with him. So all four of us go outside and he starts "teaching" the girls how to shoot. He starts talking all this tactical crap that was totally irrelevant for two brand new shooters. He started demonstrating with the little Walther, but then he starts talking all about his gun. So he whips out his 1911 that he was carrying condition one (nothing wrong with that). However, he starts talking all about how he shoots with such-and-such a stance because if someone comes at him from behind or the side, he can just "turn and double-tap, and be back on target...". My old roommate and I are looking at each other thinking, "Why is this guy going into all this with two girls who haven't even fired a pistol in their lives?" The more worrisome fact was that this guy is waving around his 1911 showing his stance and how he can turn and double-tap... with a round in the chamber and the hammer cocked. WTF, right? As far as teaching the girls to shoot safetly, that guy set us back about an hour by waving a loaded gun around a crowded gun shop. The icing on the cake is that I've been going to that range for two years at least twice a month and that guy knows I can shoot.
6. I taught high school for three years... that's kind of like law enforcement, right?
7. I don't really have anything of value, so that kind of limits me. How about a great big hug? A high five?
8. Nick Martin
9. I'm assuming it's one or the other? You can't say that you'd own the AK factory and then travel the world with all the money you make, right? That would kind of miss the point of the question. That being the case, definitely travelling around the world. I mean, shooting is great, but you can only shoot one gun at a time. There are a lot of cool places to go in the world and not a lot of time to see them all.
10. I think it would be useful to have a weekly planner tattooed on my arm. It would just be the days of the week and I could use a pen to fill in my weekly schedule.

1. What was your first gun? The S&W M36 Chief Special I was issued when I graduated my "First" Police Academy.

2. How old were you the first time you went shooting? I was 20, and at the above mentioned Police Academy. Not alot of people in Australia have access to guns, well in the city anyway.

3. Do you hunt every year? When I'm not working! My fav. game is Wild Pig. The biggest one I shot was in far north Queensland and it weighed in at 600lbs.

4. Worst gun you ever shot? The old FN FAL I was given to carry in the Australian Ary Reserve. It was that old and that worn, it was on the last gas setting and kicked like a mule!

5. Worst range experience? When a buddy of mine shot himself in the stomach, exit and into thigh, exit and in and out of his knee. He survived, but that's what you get for trying to holster a glock in a fannypack with your finger on the trigger! Good job it was target ammo, if he had been shooting the duty ammo we carried the bullet wouldn't have come out!

6. Do you work in law enforcement/military? 22 years as a Queensland State Trooper (Australia of course), 3 years here in WV as a Deputy Sheriff, and 2 years in the Australian Army Reserve (ouch!)

7. What would you give for a free XCR in 6.8 with a lifetime supply of parts and ammo? (no limbs!) I would give Robinson Armament a hell of a lot of GREAT feedback and free advertizing for life! grovel, grovel, lick, lick! ( I do that now anyways)

8. Real name? Roy

9. If you could pick between traveling around the world or owning an AK factory, which would you pick? I've been around the world, so it's the AK Factory for me and LOTS of ammo!

10. If you went to get a tattoo right now, what would you get? A Dave Mathews Band "Fire Dancer" on my left arm.

11. And yes, I would like to visit the Robinson Armament Factory for a tour! (Hint Hint!)

1. An old Remington .22 that was maybe 80 years old at the time.
2. Six.
3. 5 days a week, year 'round, sorta. ;)
4. S&W 10mm, issued by SO as a duty gun!
5. Depends on your idea or "worse". Unsafe experience at a range was Oceanside, CA- ******* who rented an AR flags everyone finger on trigger, round in chamber, magizine in mag well. I don't like public ranges. Either b/c of 90 yeal old range Nazi's or the complete opposite with what I mentioned above.

The other "worse" isn't exactly worse for me, but memorable and done several times in varied conditions. Running about 8 hours sleep-for the last 4 days, 5 am, humped all night, soaked to the skin in freezing sweat and rain and covered in mud, 40 degrees with no snivel gear (jacket), move in tactically, engage targets, and withdraw tactically. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I'm also a FA instructor, red shirt, for my agency (very large agency). I see my share of stupid acts.

I've also got shot, accidentaly at 11 y/o.

6. Yes-currently/Was. From 17 y/o to 27 y/o, all infantry, 3 deployments. GW, Sinai, Somalia.
7. Unquestionable Loyalty. Prefer the 7.62x39 option.
8. Rick
9. I already "lived" around the world. AK factory!!
10. My wife's name surrounded by my kids' names (#5 born this last Monday).

And Terra, what exactly are your referring to as a "Mexican car"?

1. What was your first gun?
Remington Nylon 66 - I still have it and it is STILL a tack driver at 50 yards - even after all these years and countless rounds being put through it. Both my son and daughter learned how to shoot (safely) with it.

2. How old were you the first time you went shooting?
8 years old - with my grandfather - with a single shot Winchester .22 - which he gave to me when I turned 13.

3. Do you hunt every year?
Not any more. Wish I did, but life goes on...

4. Worst gun you ever shot?
A fricking no-name 10 Gauge shotgun I won for a $1 tip jar ticket in Mount Holly Springs, PA at a turkey shoot.
That mo-fo kicked like hell, and was the only gun I shot once and got rid of the next day. I pretty much gave it away for $75 but I made $74 so it wasn't a bad deal overall.

5. Worst range experience?
Oh yeah... Sleepy Creek, WV... one COLD January morning. Thought I would hit the public range and send a couple rounds down range with my old Bushmaster (FYI - no range master or supervision of any kind) and figured NO ONE would be there. It was january, 30 degrees and early in the morning right? NOPE... got there and a couple dudes show up about 20 minutes later in their beat up Ford Ranger - obviously drunk. I figure WTF? It's 8AM - they can't really be drunk can they? They had some stupid knock off AK cheapo and a couple boxes of ammo. They proceeded to drag a bunch of GLASS bottles out of the back of their truck and set them ON TOP of the dirt berms. I watched in disbelief as they shot all over the place - EVEN AT MY TARGETS. I quietly packed up my gear (left my targets & stand because ain't no way I'm walking out there now) - but as I went past them (the only way out) one guy says "Hey man, let us shoot your gun we're out of bullets"... I said "Nah, I'm cold and headed home" and I guess he thought because there was two of them and one of me, he might "persuade" me... so this guy steps in front of me and says "Hey man, I'm asking you nice" and I reach behind my back and say "Excuse me?" and the other guy sees this and says "Cmon man, I'm cold too, lets go." So I let them go ahead of me, then get in my truck, and these idiots follow me down the road for a couple miles and finally turn off. I still go to that range once in a while, but never without scoping it out for idiots first.

6. Do you work in law enforcement/military?
Spent 10 years active duty USAF.

7. What would you give for a free XCR in 6.8 with a lifetime supply of parts and ammo? (no limbs!)
If I have to GIVE something how can it be free?

8. Real name?
Bentley (that's my first name - not my last - and yeah, I've heard all the jokes)

9. If you could pick between traveling around the world or owning an AK factory, which would you pick?
I haven't been ALL around the world, and there are a few places still I'd like to visit - but an AK factory is a no-brainer.

10. If you went to get a tattoo right now, what would you get?
Well, the first thing that came to mind was a Punisher skull, because I just bought a set of Punisher grips for my Officers ACP and it would match the cobra/black panther I have on the other arm.

2. How old were you the first time you went shooting? 10 or 11

4. Worst gun you ever shot? Haven't found that one yet
5. Worst range experience? dumb shits being unsafe
6. Do you work in law enforcement/military? not any more
7. What would you give for a free XCR in 6.8 with a lifetime supply of parts and ammo? (no limbs!) I already have an XCR-the conversion is not that much but the ammo is. Not worth that much to me-I have other calibers with better ballistics.
8. Real name? sure i have one
9. If you could pick between traveling around the world or owning an AK factory, which would you pick? traveling of course
10. If you went to get a tattoo right now, what would you get? your picture on my arm but I don't like tattoos-after 54 years and many opportunities I doubt that I will get one now.

and that's all I can think of. Feel free to make up crap of your own

Ahh, where to start? The beginning, I suppose. To wit:

1) First gun? Colt Combat Commander in .45ACP.

2) Age? 21. Had to be to buy the Commander. My parents weren't into guns at all. Now that I think about it, my maternal grandfather probably first took me about age 14.

3) Hunt? Not much. Used to do a fair amount of varmint hunting. Not much anymore.

4) Worst Gun. Hmm. KAC SR25. Complete PoS. Well, not complete, I guess. It taught me to appreciate straightpull rifles. :p

5) Worst range experience. Heh, I can think of a couple of exciting ones. Getting shot at downrange trying to paste targets probably takes the cake.

6) Work? LE? Heh. No. I'm in a union; I don't work.

7) Free XCR? If it's free I shouldn't have to give up anything! I'll take two, please.

8.) Real name. As opposed to imaginary ones? You can call me...Dave.

9) Travel or AKs? Tough call. Make it Galils and I'll take the factory.

10) Tatoos? I'm not into pain. Hmmm...yeah, have to pass on this one.

1) The first gun that was "mine" was my dad's old nylon 66. The first gun I bought for myself was a springfield xd 40. All downhill from there.

2) Can't quite remember but I'd guess 6 or 7.

3) Noone in my family deer hunts so I never got into it-although I'd definitely tag along if anyone wanted to take me. We did go varmint hunting and bird hunting a bit though... I enjoy just shooting ;D

4) Back when I shot on the public range there was some family out with their guns, and they had some Jennings .22 that was, unsurprisingly, a total pos. I let them try my xd and one of my glocks so they let me try the jennings. Jammed every round :-X Some old fella also let me shoot his little derringer in .410... that thing was useless and sucked to shoot as well...

5) Same range, bunch of stupid teenagers with hipoints and an sks or two being unsafe and bugging me to try my stuff...

6)no

7) I'd sit through the entire democratic convention... Maybe I'd even jump onstage and moon hillary clinton :p

8 ) Scott

9) The world is overrated... ESPECIALLY if I have my own ak factory. ;D

10) Don't have or really want any tats so this is pure speculation, but aussie's firedancer would be a cool one. I also think this would be a cool back tattoo.

I'm also partial to the dead's steal your face logo and various other designs...

1. First gun was a Daisy Powerline 880. That was one mean BB gun. Scoped it and everything. Shortly after my Dad got me some single shot over and under 22/20 guage. I think it was a Savage. My dad still has it.

7. I'm not convinced about the 6.8 yet. I'd rather have 6.5 Grendel.
8. Prizm (my parents are cruel) ;D
9. Traveling. But if owning the factory means I can make and shoot cool SBR, SMG's, whenever I want, then I'll take the factory.
